This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP” or “Policy”) governs the terms by which individuals (“Users” or “You”) may access and use the LearningRO website and all associated services (the “Service”). This Policy is designed to ensure a secure, respectful, and effective learning environment for all users.

By accessing or using the Service, You agree to comply with this AUP. Any capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings set forth in our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.


 

1. Prohibited Uses

 

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Terms of Service. You agree not to use the Service:

  • For any illegal or fraudulent activities under the laws of the United Kingdom or any other applicable jurisdiction.

  • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate the Company, a Company employee, another user, or any other person or entity.

  • For the purpose of exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way by exposing them to inappropriate content or otherwise.

  • To send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use, or re-use any material which does not comply with the Content Standards set out in Section 3 of this Policy.

  • To transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam).

  • To engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Service, or which, as determined by Us, may harm the Company or users of the Service or expose them to liability.

 

2. Integrity of the Learning Environment

 

The Service is provided to enhance learning and revision. Any activity that undermines the intended educational purpose or the integrity of academic work is strictly prohibited. You agree not to:

  • Cheating and Academic Misconduct: Use the Service, including the RoTutor AI assistant, to circumvent the purpose of a given assignment, assessment, or learning activity by:

    • Requesting direct, complete answers to exam or assignment questions when the intent is to guide Your learning process.

    • Submitting Content generated by the Service as your own original work without proper attribution and the explicit permission of your institution.

  • System Abuse: Introduce viruses, Trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful.

  • Unauthorized Access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, damage, or disrupt any parts of the Service, the server on which the Service is stored, or any server, computer, or database connected to the Service.

  • Data Harvesting: Use any automated system, including without limitation, “robots,” “spiders,” or “offline readers,” to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to the LearningRO servers than a human can reasonably produce in the same period by using a conventional web browser.

 

3. Content Standards

 

These Content Standards apply to any and all material You contribute to the Service (“User Content”) and to any interactive services associated with it. User Content must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. User Content must also be free from the following:

  • Defamation and Libel: Content that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, harassing, violent, hateful, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Discrimination: Content that promotes sexually explicit or pornographic material, violence, or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.

  • Infringement: Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property or other rights of any other person.

  • Deception: Content that is likely to deceive any person.

  • Illegal Acts: Content that promotes or assists in any illegal activity, or advocates, promotes, or assists any unlawful act.

 

4. Enforcement and Violations

 

LearningRO reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of this Acceptable Use Policy. When a breach has occurred, We may take such action as We deem appropriate, including:

  • Immediate temporary or permanent withdrawal of Your right to use the Service.

  • Immediate removal of any User Content uploaded by You to the Service.

  • Legal proceedings against You for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach.

  • Further legal action against You.

  • Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as We reasonably feel is necessary.

     

We exclude liability for actions taken in response to breaches of this AUP. The responses described in this Policy are not limited, and We may take any other action We reasonably deem appropriate.
